Is SamCart worth it?
The ad can do its job and the sale can still die on a card form that offers nothing else. You wanted a bump beside the main product, or a second offer after the buyer pays, and a plain processor form has neither. SamCart is a hosted checkout for a digital product you sell yourself. Order bumps and one-click upsells are on the Pro plan, the higher of the two priced plans.
The homepage calls it the platform that builds, runs, and scales your online business. Checkout, pages, courses and AI tools are all in that description. See the SamCart plan table before you start the trial. Order bumps are on the Pro plan.
What Core and Pro include
The pricing page lists order bumps and one-click upsells on the Pro plan, in the block that starts with everything on Core, plus. A/B testing, Subscription Saver, the Affiliate Center, the API and third-party processors are in that same block. Core is the entry plan. Choose it for the hosted form. Choose Pro if an order bump is why you are considering SamCart.
Courses are part of the platform the homepage describes, so the lessons and the payment form come together. People still compare this cart with others because of the form, the bump and the upsell.
On a thread about order upgrades, a commenter called this checkout no frills but fine. That comment is the friendly report on the checkout itself. The price complaint is in that same thread, where the upgrade price is called crazy expensive.
Checkout Anywhere
The landing page can stay where it is. Checkout Anywhere embeds the hosted checkout on a blog, a landing page, or a link in a social media bio. The vendor says that embed is one line of code.
Use it when an ad already points at a URL you do not want to rebuild. The form drops onto that page. The plan you bought still decides whether an order bump is available. Apple Pay is named on that embed panel, next to the bump and the upsell. Order bumps stay on the Pro plan either way.
Bumps, upsells and Subscription Saver
An order bump is a second product on the checkout step, added before the card is submitted. A one-click upsell is the offer after the first payment, charged without asking for the card again. The Pro card is where the pricing page names both. The Core card leaves them off.
Subscription Saver is on the Pro list too, beside those two. It belongs with subscription billing on that plan.
A/B testing is on the Pro plan as well. The pricing page names the feature and stops there. Keeping one URL for both versions is a landing-page decision, not something this pricing page spells out. Read the Leadpages review and the Swipe Pages review when the landing page is what you need to change. SamCart can still take the payment.
SamCart pricing
The public pricing page shows two cards with a monthly price, and a third card with no dollar amount. Core and Pro are the ones you can compare on price. Done For You is marked Custom, and the button says Book a Quick Call.

A yearly toggle on that page is labeled 25% off. Annual prices are on the SamCart pricing page.
The cards offer a trial. The pricing page advertises seven days, and the terms say you must cancel before the trial ends to avoid the first plan charge.
Those terms also require a cancellation at least five days before the next billing date. Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable. The cancellation help article says that if more than one subscription is active, you cancel each one separately.
A seller comparing the monthly bill with a one-time licence should open the ThriveCart review. A high-volume checkout that also takes a percentage of sales is a different kind of product. The Checkout Champ review covers that checkout. A WooCommerce store that wants the upsell inside the shop should read the CartFlows review.
Who should pay for Pro
Pay for Pro when you sell your own digital product and the bump or the upsell is how the order grows. Core fits a course seller who wants the hosted form, the pages and the course tools the platform includes, and who can sell without an order bump.
The affiliate center is on Pro, so the entry plan leaves it out. If the problem is the ad URL, read the Leadpages review and the Swipe Pages review. If you want a one-time payment for the checkout, ThriveCart still sells a lifetime licence, and buyers name that cart beside this one.
SamCart alternatives
ThriveCart is the closest hosted cart in the buyer threads. People compare the two because both take payment for a digital product, and ThriveCart still sells a lifetime licence. There is no head-to-head page for the pair yet. Head-to-head comparisons are where a versus page would go. Until that page exists, read the ThriveCart review.
A store that already runs on WooCommerce needs the form inside that store. CartFlows puts the upsell flow there. FunnelKit is the other WooCommerce review in this set, for a store comparing plugins rather than hosted carts.
Read the Checkout Champ review if order volume and payment routing are what you need. It is demo-led, with no public self-serve trial, which is a different start from the seven-day window on SamCart.
When the subscription should also cover pages and email, open the ClickFunnels review. Read the Kartra review if you want pages and email in one creator account. The Kajabi review is the one for a course that is also a membership site.
Sometimes the cart is chosen and the page is still open. Leadpages can host the page, and SamCart can still take the payment. Swipe Pages is the review for a fast page on a phone. The landing page builder roundup is the wider list, and sales funnel software is the page for paid traffic that needs the whole path. What a page builder charges for traffic is a different bill from this cart. The cost calculator compares those builder bills.
The rest of the set is on the review index. The options above are listed on SamCart alternatives.
What buyers report
Price shows up more often than a broken form. The order-upgrades thread calls the pricing crazy expensive. A separate ThriveCart versus SamCart thread includes a comment that it does not make sense at $300 or more a month per business.
Billing is the other cluster. A Trustpilot reviewer said SamCart tried to charge $239 in March 2026, after a low-priced course from the year before. The five-day cancellation window and the rule against refunding a monthly plan are what that complaint runs into.
G2's comparison with ThriveCart rates SamCart 4.3 out of 5 across 94 reviews. That figure is the average on that page. The renewal posts are about a later charge.
My take
Pro is the plan I would pay for when the order bump or the upsell is part of how the offer makes money. Core is the wrong plan if that bump is the point. I would look at a landing page builder if the ad has to keep one URL. I would look at a lifetime licence if a monthly cart is the objection.
The cancellation window and the monthly refund rule match the complaints better than the checkout does. See the SamCart plan table before the seven-day trial, and pick Pro if you need the bump.
