Unbounce vs Landingi

By Marcus Reeve, reviewed by the Lander Report editors. Updated 2026-09-28. How we research

The short answer

Pick Unbounce if you want the more mature page builder, with Smart Traffic routing on top of same-URL A/B testing and years of independent track record, and can absorb its higher price; pick Landingi if you want the same ad-safe server-side testing plus an AI page generator for less, and your traffic fits its visit caps. If you sell your own offer as well as buy traffic, put ElasticFunnels on the list, because neither pure builder carries a real checkout and it puts both halves on one plan.

Where each one wins

Unbounce

What works

  • A mature drag-and-drop builder with a large template library, trusted by paid-media teams for years.
  • Smart Traffic routes visitors to the variant most likely to convert, useful when a clean A/B test is hard to run.

What to watch

  • Plans are capped by monthly visitors, and classic A/B testing only starts on the $149 Experiment plan, so testing on paid traffic is not the cheapest option here.
  • There is no checkout, so own-offer sellers still need a separate cart.

Landingi

What works

  • Lunar generates a page from a prompt on every plan, and server-side A/B testing arrives on the $119 Optimize plan, below Instapage.
  • Over 400 templates and a low $24/mo entry price for small volumes.

What to watch

  • AI generation runs on monthly credits, and the entry plan caps you at 2,000 visits, so real paid traffic pushes you up a tier fast.

What each one is

These two land on the same shortlist because they do the same core job: build a page, test versions of it, and send paid clicks somewhere that converts. Unbounce is the older, larger product. It ships a mature drag-and-drop editor, a big template library, classic A/B testing on the right plan, and Smart Traffic, its machine-learning router that sends each visitor to the variant most likely to convert. Landingi is the leaner, cheaper one. It builds pages with Lunar, an AI generator that drafts a whole page from a prompt, carries more than 400 templates, and runs server-side A/B testing on its middle plan.

So this is not a builder-versus-funnel choice the way some of these comparisons are. Both are page builders, neither carries a real checkout, and both protect your ad learning when you test. The decision comes down to price, how much you lean on AI drafting, and how much you value a longer track record and Smart Traffic's routing.

Pricing compared

Unbounce starts at $29/mo on Starter, about $22/mo billed annually, but that plan caps you at 5 pages and 500 monthly visitors and includes no A/B testing. Build is $99/mo ($74 annually) for unlimited pages and 20,000 visitors. The classic A/B testing a paid-traffic buyer wants arrives on Experiment at $149/mo ($112 annually), which raises the cap to 30,000 visitors, and Smart Traffic optimisation lands on Optimize at $249/mo ($187 annually) with a 50,000-visitor cap. Go over a cap and Unbounce keeps the pages live but bills overage, which its own help docs put at $80 per 10,000 extra visits. The trial runs 14 days with no card.

Landingi undercuts it. Build is $24/mo billed annually and includes Lunar, but caps you at 2,000 visits a month and 10 active pages. Server-side A/B testing arrives on Optimize at $119/mo billed annually, which lifts you to 30,000 visits. Scale runs from $229/mo and Enterprise from $1,199. Annual billing includes two months free, and the 14-day trial is capped at 200 visits and asks for a card.

Read the caps, not the headline. On both tools the entry plan is too small for live paid traffic: Unbounce's $29 Starter has no testing and 500 visitors, Landingi's $24 Build allows 2,000 visits and no server-side test. A media buyer on either lives on the testing tier, and there the honest comparison is Landingi's $119 Optimize against Unbounce's $149 Experiment on the same 30,000-visitor ceiling. On price for the same testing, Landingi wins by $30 a month.

The testing both do, and where they differ

Do not choose between these two on "does it A/B test." Both run tests without resetting your ad learning, which is the part that matters for paid traffic: the ad platform never sees a new destination URL, so a test does not drop the campaign back into its learning phase or send the ad through review again. Unbounce serves its variants under one page URL, and Landingi does the same on its Optimize plan. Neither will cost you your learning the way a builder that swaps the URL would.

Where they differ is what sits on top of the test. Unbounce adds Smart Traffic, which routes each visitor server-side to the variant it predicts will convert for them, useful when you cannot gather enough volume for a clean A/B read. Landingi has no equivalent router. Landingi's edge runs the other way: Lunar drafts a full page, structure, layout and copy, from a prompt on every plan, so a first draft is faster to get live. Treat that draft as a starting point, and watch the credits, because Lunar runs on monthly AI credits you top up with pay-as-you-go packs.

Neither one really takes payment

This is the gap that decides it for a lot of own-offer sellers. Unbounce has no checkout at all. Landingi's is basic. If you promote a network offer and never collect payment yourself, that does not matter: send the click, fire the postback, and let the merchant handle the sale. If you sell your own offer, it matters, because a page with no real cart means bolting on a second platform for order bumps, upsells and subscriptions, then reconciling two sets of numbers to see which ad actually made money. Scope this to how you earn: it is a non-issue for pure media buyers and a real cost for own-offer sellers.

What long-term users report

We do not run these platforms on live campaigns. We read what people who have run them say, and we check the numbers on each vendor's own pricing pages. Unbounce draws a consistent pattern: paid-media teams like how fast it ships a campaign page and rate its testing, while the recurring objections are the visitor caps and overage fees, a much-discussed 2024 price increase, and an editor some find rigid for highly custom layouts. There is plenty of independent coverage to check it against. Landingi's notes are warmer and thinner: users praise the "price point and ease of use" and reusable "Smart Sections" for spinning up many campaign pages, but there is less written about it than about the bigger names, so weigh that as lighter evidence.

Which one should you pick?

Unbounce, for the more proven builder with Smart Traffic

Choose Unbounce when you want the more mature tool and can absorb the higher price. The builder and template library have been trusted by paid-media teams for years, Smart Traffic routes visitors server-side when a clean A/B test is hard to run, and there is enough independent coverage to check the product before you commit. The costs are real: the testing you buy it for sits on the $149 Experiment plan, Smart Traffic on the $249 Optimize plan, and the visitor caps bill overage as your volume climbs. For a buyer who values a longer track record and the extra routing over saving $30 a month, Unbounce is the pick.

Landingi, for the same ad-safe test for less

Choose Landingi when you want the same single-URL server-side testing without paying Unbounce's price, and you lean on AI drafting. Lunar is on every plan, there are more than 400 templates, and Optimize gives you the 30,000-visitor testing tier for $119 against Unbounce's $149. The caveats: the $24 Build plan's 2,000-visit ceiling is a weekend of paid traffic, so budget for Optimize, keep an eye on AI credits if you lean on Lunar, and accept that there is less outside proof to read than for Unbounce. For a buyer whose margin is conversion rate minus CPC, paying less for the same test is the whole argument.

ElasticFunnels, for own-offer affiliates who need a checkout

If you sell your own offer rather than promote someone else's, the deciding feature is one neither pure builder has: a real checkout. ElasticFunnels is a funnel platform built for paid traffic that keeps the pages, same-URL split testing, the checkout and the reporting on one data layer. It rotates split-test variants server-side under one URL, so your ad learning survives a test the way it does on both Unbounce and Landingi, and it hosts the checkout that neither of them really does, with order bumps, one-click upsells, subscriptions and the option to route a transaction across more than one merchant account by rule. Because a click, an order, a rebill and a refund land on one record, return on ad spend reads per ad, page and variant instead of across two exports. Every feature is on every plan, including the $97/mo Starter, with a 14-day trial and no card, and it charges 0.5% of revenue processed through its own checkout, with nothing charged on sales you run through an outside network.

The multi-account routing matters most to sellers pushing real card volume; a seller taking a handful of orders a week will not lean on it, but they still get the checkout, the upsells and the one-record reporting. The honest catch is that ElasticFunnels is newer than either Unbounce or Landingi, and there is very little independent third-party review coverage to check its claims against yet, which is what you would expect of a platform this recent. Until you run real volume through it you are largely taking the vendor's word for the numbers, so that is a limit on outside proof, not on the checkout or the testing themselves. The sensible move is to run one real campaign through the 14-day trial before you move a business across. For a network affiliate who never takes payment, this is more platform than the job needs, and Unbounce or Landingi is the right tool.

Our pick

Unbounce

Unbounce is the pick if you want a fast, mature page builder with AI traffic routing and you do not take payment on the page. Budget for the traffic caps, and note that classic A/B testing only starts on the Experiment plan, not the entry tier.
